Nagase Viita Co., Ltd. (manufacturer of TREHA®) participated as a sponsor in "Leçon de Goût," a food education event for elementary school children held at the France Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, Japan.
The event was a special edition commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Japanese activities of La Semaine du Goût ® (The Week of Taste). Originally launched in France, this food education initiative has been actively carried out in Japan as well, and the anniversary event was held with the support of the French Embassy in Japan. During the event, food professionals and sponsor companies gave lessons to children about the importance of food.
In the session where Nagase Viita participated, Chef-Pâtissière Tomoko Sakai of École Valrhona Tokyo first gave a lesson on the role of aroma. This was followed by a presentation on how TREHA® contributes to food waste reduction. It was memorable to see the children eagerly listening and experiencing the unique properties of TREHA® by interacting with samples of shiratama dango (glutinous rice dumplings).
We are proud to have had the opportunity to directly share the versatile and promising appeal of TREHA® and our initiatives with the next generation in such a meaningful place as Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, Japan — a global stage that connects the world and envisions the future. Nagase Viita will continue to actively engage in food education and other social contribution initiatives.
