We are a business unit of NAGASE & CO., LTD., a leading chemical trading firm, founded in Kyoto, Japan in 1832.
The acquisition of Nagase ChemteX Corporation, Hayashibara Co., Ltd. and most recently, Prinova group LCC further strengthen our offerings into a wide range of industries which include food, beverage, nutraceuticals, flavors, and fragrance industries.

Our Journey
2001: Reorganized and integrated as Nagase ChemteX Corporation through a Four-Entity Merger, a Japanese company started the development and manufacturing of enzyme since 1939, specializing in enzyme technology. Nagase ChemteX produces enzymes for various food processing applications such as bakery, meats, mayonnaises, and dairy products.
2012: Hayashibara Co., Ltd. founded as a starch syrup manufacturer in 1883, joined NAGASE group. Utilizing its advanced biotechnology, Hayashibara is engaged in R&D and has application knowledge in high-performance saccharides and functional food ingredients that contribute to the people’s health and happiness around the world.
2019: Prinova group LCC the latest acquisition of Nagase Group, is a US- based company set up in 1978. Prinova is one of the world’s largest provider of ingredients and integrated solutions such as vitamin and mineral premixes, amino acid premixes, aroma, and flavors. Prinova also provides toll manufacturing services for sports nutrition.
